The Satay House - Almarhum Pak Jaffar Shawal

ole...Satay House.
My thought came rambling again after a retro visit to Jogja and Bandung last week.Have a personel survillence after the much publish cold shoulder given by some of our distant cousin dari seberang.
No issue in matter of fact.Traders welcome their distant cousins with open arms.
Pak Beca make a living with the guest volume.Tipping generously out of sympathy.Generous, yes we are to our much needed cousins.
Jogjakarta as hippish as ever and Bandung as trendiest as ever.
Its Paris Van Java and it sure does.

Adooooo !!!Sunda beauty dong !!!

I try to stay out of Jakarta.Indonesia is not Jakarta.
My network in Indo is good.
Good opportunities too.On that score, its the other side of the coin.

Again,I'm barking at the wrong tree, its not about Bandung or Bromo or Jogjakarta I wish to write about but about a man,a petit in size man, moustacho and very focus.
The quite Gentleman,I may say,a positive altitude with full vision on buisness.Aided or I would rather say together with his beloved wife, brave the storm and thunder on the battle field of Sussex Garden,Paddington,London W 1 till his last breath.

Pak Jaffar Shawal, arrive on shore of good ole England during the post 60's era.
Alone only on one mission, that is how could a Malay from Penang excel in buisness in the United Kingdom?
Rolling and tumbling leaving his beloved wife Aunty Zaharah,an I.O with our Police Force at home then.He succesed to open the very first Malay Restaurant in the middle of metropolis London, battling his buisness anchorman with guts and sheer determination.

The birth of Satay House serving the local dishes was an instant hit among the hungry student and Malaysian community population then.It serve as a joint, for us student far away from mother land and mother's cooking. For those who have, its the place to water down their tummy with The Nasi Kandar Uncle's Special and to those whom do not have like me serve as a place where extra pocket money comes in handy serving as a waiter or kitchen helper, helping Uncle, the main Chef and Mummy Zaharah in the kitchen either in summer or me all year round as a part time waiter.

It was winter 1980,I first work part time as a waiter at the Satay House.
Pak Jaffar and mummy (as I call Aunty Zaharah, together with the young one,Onn and Harun and Liza and Ikram the present Satay House chef was still in their infant.
The three Onn,Harun and Lisa was well train by both Bapak(as I call Arwah Pak Jaffar)and Mummy Zaharah, especially Liza the only daughter was taught from the very tender age of table arrangement and where folk, knife and spoon and napkins suppose to be set.Liza is the most focus as far as I could recall.
I remembered well,at her tender age,she taught me to knot the paper napkins, neatly folded shape like a fan.A serious little gal then.

The restaurant open its doors at 12noon for lunch time and last order at 2.30pm,opens its door again at 6pm till the last order at 10.30.
I work in the evening.I have to catch the last train at 11pm to Balham via Bakerloo line at Edgware Road tube station changing for Northern Line at Elephant & Castle.
Missing the last train means I have to take the Red Arrow Nite bus at Trafalga Square.

Kitchen staff then was Uncle Jalil,as I call him 'Unkelek',for what reason I dont know,an Indian Muslim origin.A long service staff and the first chef of Satay House. His curry mutton and rendang a class of his own.You find your hands licking after his curry, especially in winter. The sambal belacan and his curry goes together well to keep the hungry tummy and body warm especially in winter.

Asisting him then was an Indonesian immigrant but left after a few months and a few of my buddies whom work part-time during the long summer break earning jes to save up for a new set of Hi-Fi.
Kitchen staff keep changing.Kitchen staff pinching was normal then as between 1982 onward after the success of Satay House being the pioneer Malay Restaurant in the middle of west end, strings of so call Malaysian Restaurant sprang up through out the Soho up till Swiss Cottage/Hempstead Heath area, with various variation of curry and rendang.
Suddenly, the Malaysian population and Mat Salleh's has lots of Malaysian Restaurant as a choise.
It was Pak Jaffar anchorman and vision that make the Malaysian cuisine be known in the West End.He steps in at the right time with sheer hard work and determination.

Together with mummy Zaharah, the combination works well.
Mummy Zaharah , she's a hardworking, persistent strong lady.It must be tHe regimentation grooming in the force which make her one.
Working round the clock non stop.
I remember, the Malaysian economic boom in 1984-85 well.
Her porcelain rose buisness was blooming. There was porceline roses everywhere in her petit flat above the Satay House, where the family retire after closing time.
Small and charm but beautiful.I reckon that was the order of the day then.

I was waitering Satay House table before Satay House was renovated.
The cellar downstairs was converted into sitting of 10 extra table.
Up stairs, orginally it could only accomodate 10 tables only.
A sardine pack on buzy week-end,serving regulars mainly from the rich Brunei scholars then.
Harun and Onn was still at primary schooling age,not much aid they could give to their persisten, determine loving parents then.
Mummy Zaharah was heavy pregneant with Ikhram.
The operation of the restaurant was a team work effort.
The team at times was crumbbling due to staff pinching or untrain staff.

Uncle Jalil, the head Chef was having visa problem with the immigration authority.
At a stage,I could feel mummy Zaharah and Pak Jaffar was having tremendous pressure from the operation of the restaurant then.
High number of staff leaving in short notice was normal.
Mummy was force to be in the kitchen after delivery of Ikhram to see the operation goes through,no matter how,the doors remains open to the regulars 7 days a week to see the OD they have taken on the Restaurant renovation goes through without a pinch.

Allah with the persistent and the determination.
Allah the all hearing and are with the strong, the brave such as the one Almarhum Pak Jaffar and Mummy Zaharah.
The Satay House still stands tall among the listing of Malaysian Restaurant in the West End today.

To Liza and Ikhram, the present caretaker and the operator of the Satay House, this is what I have to say:

'Mana-mana organisasi yang dapat bertahan melebihi 30 tahun, ianya layak memerima anugerah Kahzanah Bangsa dan Negara, kerana Restaurant Tuan telah dapat meyakinkan kepada dunia bahawa "Tak Akan Melayu Hilang Didunia"

Ayah Ku Kawin Lagi - Ayah Ku Pegi Aji.

It was over 40 years ago ayah decided to remarry again ending his single father status.Remember well the happy go lucky single father bringing up 3 tots children single handedly with a mere Risda clerk pay base on Suffian Report pay scheme.
Its something between $180 a month,I think.

Me,being the eldest to two other sisters was groom with no branded jeans except tailored made long pants by the perfect work of Hj.Manaf of 'AZAM TAILOR' and white shirts from Bee Loon ready made and the shops still at it presence humble beginning site at Lorong Bukit Cina but has expanded over the years all over the country mega mall.
Hj.Manaf has been my tailor since my wee lad days.
My first tailored suit for my England trip was hand made by 'Hj.Manaf The Tailor'.
Attire ethique was strictly observed by ayah.
Hair cream and body talcum powder a must.Off Raya morning with smartly polish Bata shoes goes along well with Hj.Manaf tailored trouses and the white shirt being reused again as my school shirt after Raya.

Suddenly, after joyeous yearly routine on Raya's with ayah, the daily bath personally by him in the morning before off to school, the morning dressing up,the dinner together with my single father stops abruptly and out off a sudden.
Ayah no longer at home with us.
We have to mend life to school all by ourself.
I was too young to understand why ayah left us suddenly.
However, ayah is always there sending us off to school in the morning and evening he will drop by after his daily dose of tennis game at the Bukit Baru Tennis Club but he no longer at home, reading the newspaper while we finishes our school home work.
His personnel home tution given to me on my weak subject also stop.

I was totally lost.
Seeing ayah morning and evening but he is not at home while we were asleep as he used to at night kept a 10 year lad puzzle, keeping together a 7 and 5 years sister together is another sodding tale.
Remember well, the day I confront him asking him why is he no longer with us at home.It was not a riddle but a straight question from a 10 year old lad

'......ayah,....ayah kahwin lagi ya!!!!!!!!!!

He was stunn by the question.
He didnt answer the question.
I presumed the answer was 'Yes',suddenly the pearl drops without invitation.

The rest was history.

May 2009 - 7 am

My usual wake up call at 6.30 am.
Normal morning routine procedure like any other morning.Nothing unusual.
Suddenly a call came in at 7am.It was ayah's voice.

I must say,very-very-very-very very rare and unusual for ayah to call his 3 children. Not only to me but both my sisters as well.
Not at 7 am.From my past experience, call that early only an emergency informing death of imediate members of the family.

I remembered his no normal greeting over the phone.
Not a commanding voice and ayah has never been a commanding father.
His advise to children will always begin with a field trip for Rojak and Satay Wak Temu with big glasses of Air Temu to go with ,right up front facing the famous 'A Famosa'.

After eating,straight into the car.
We will be in his old white VW bettle for his prep talk, park some where along, the Famosa or the front sea-side ,me glaring at the open sea of Strait of Malacca, somewhere over there is Sumatra.

My performance,my behavouir,my grade etc.etc.The normal fatherly advise.
Never ever my beloved father cane or shouted at me or shunn or humilate me in public despite me a mischievious lad myself.

Never Ever.

The phone call from ayah that morning stun me.Straight to the point informing me.

'.....'Will.....aku nak pegi Aji tahun ni.'

I was stun !!! the request coming from ayah.
I wanted to sujud sadah right away.

My simple answer was'.....ayah jangan kuatir...biar Mie uruskan.
Right away I was at Tabung Haji HQ,Ampang as the first customer of the day enquiring for my ayah haj trip.Deposited the required amount and total amount which we pool together to see ayah's trip to Haj.this year.

Waiting patiently over the month, the reply from TH management for his application status.Mind you, ayah does not even have a Tabung Haji account and we have to open one for him.Knowing fully well, ayah clerk pay package are all spend on his schooling age children, even though we do not live under one roof together.
All his children needs are well look after and care for.

Monday 28th Sept.2009 bersamaan 7 Shyawal.

Tabung Haji reply :
En.Jalius penerbangan Haji Tuan ialah pada 1 hb.Nov.2009.
Sila laporkan diri di Komplex Tabung Haji Kerana Jaya pada pukul 9 pagi.

I did the sujud saadah after reading the confirmation letter.

Terima Kasih Ya.Allah.

Akhir Sebuah Impian - Simply Classic

Well check up the whole film in youtube as well

Klassik.......seni itu milik semua.
Bukan milik persendirian.
Kami hargai interlectual property, daya creativitas dan kesempurnaan pembikinan.
Kami kagum
.

It was 30 overs years I saw this classic film by Almarhum Benyamin S,late Broery Marantika and Emilia Countessa.Man....the Savoy cinema was pack full for the whole month. The music by Favariote Group remain evergreen. Simply classic for a Form 2 boys then. TV programme was still at it infancy. Love Farok Afero acting always the baddies character. His punch line ' jangan kau minta ubatnya dari aku !!! when his son Broery met an accident which causes Emelia blind.A nostalgic rerun for those in the fities. Those era of 'Casablanca' sort of movie.

Sagalo Nan Ado........Indak Maleh Urang Awak.

AKU

Kalau sampai waktuku
Ku mau tak seorang kan merayu
Tidak juga kau
Tak perlu sedu sedan itu
Aku ini binatang jalang Dari kumpulannya terbuang
Biar peluru menembus kulitku
Aku tetap meradang menerjang Luka dan bisa kubawa berlari
Berlari Hingga hilang pedih peri
Dan aku akan lebih tidak perduli
Aku mau hidup seribu tahun lagi

Yasmin -The Ledgendary Story Teller.Al-Fatiha

It was Nov.2005 when I first starts blogging, after been persuaded by my mate Boe,he was blogging under Ricky's Cafe then.
It was the early blogging era, much to my amusement, the stories written in the blog then, were innocent.
I am not a sopo fan thus,my visit to those sopores are limited.
I dont discuss or rather stayed away from those 'me know all the problems in Malaysia blog' nothing amazed me with what was written on the wall.

It is a fact yasminthestoryteller.blogspot.com was my first blog I followed with Boe's persuasion.
Her words were simple.
A very knowledgeable and a profound blog.
It discuss mainly on her work on films and adverts in progress.
She's jotted down to a precise detail, ample enough for a person like me with no knowledge of the film industry to understood its content.

Her blog was a one-stop-centre between her-fans and her co-worker,corresponding via the comment box.
The respond was fast.No twitters what so ever then, but her assistant were there in split second waiting for instruction on the on going projects or witting teaching her films student about the finer points in film making via internetting.

Amazing women, making use the 'know how' technology rather that 'know who',in making quality pictures.
I followed her blog long enough till I managed to get 5 entrance passes on her very first premier and much controversial film'SEPET'.
Ted,one of her pupils managed to pull me through.I pass on the ticket as a marriage present to my nephew Ariff,Lin and both my girls Nana and Aliah. It was before Adam was born.

I was active and a regular to her blog.
You would notice some of my early writing was a reflection of her blog.
Comments made by some, sometime were off the line and sensitive.
Come from a multi ethnic society, the religion issues were at stake but she played her critics down well.
Her films leads to much controversial in a conservertive society of ours,
but I must say ,she's a class of her own.Her message clearly understood.

A pace setter,an inspirational for the new breeds,a phlithropist and a trend setter on her own right.
She's take criticism in strike and able to defence her work inteligently and diligently. There was once I propose to her,

'....mum,you should be a Senator by now, incharge of our Culture and Art Ministry.Your place is at Dewan Negara...'in one of the comment box.
nahhh...she's not instrested.

She was much into her work with passion and articulation.
Be it the PETRONAS Raya's,CNY or Depavali or X'mas advert, she delivered it with perfection and in harmony refelecting the multi ethnic preception of
'what Malaysia is' instead of 'Malaysia where?? !!!!

They didn't teach that in any Malay film production do they?
Love and devotion for Film making - As she once said in her blog in 2006

'we don't need "ART" for a few.
we don't need "Education" for a few.
and we don't need "Freedom" for a few.

True to her words,Art is an Education, art shapes a person inner feeling and art is a social tool to instill love for human mankind as was projected through her work, translating human desire to Love,Peace and Tranquality.

Her messeage was simple ie. ...........BE GOOD HUMAN !!

Moga Allah memberkati usaha mu Yasmin !!.Amin

7 das tembakan ke udara. !!!!!!!!!!!

hormat Panglima.........hormat.

Al.Fatiha.

**************

Suara mu merdu,
Creativitas mu anugerah.
Insipirasi segala anak Malaysia.
Kepatriotikkan dan semangat mu yang gitu tak pernah disangkal.
Ilmu mu mendalam.
Fikiran mu terang.
Minda mu cergas
Kebolehan mu tanpa batas.

Kami sedu
Kami kenal siapa kamu
Mata mu sentiasa menunduk tanda merendah
Ayat-ayat cinta mu
tanpa mengira warna, semua hanya hamba allah jua
Kami setia

Kami meratap kesepian

Kami tatap bingkisan
Pulang mu menemuai Ya-Hakim,

This is no laughing matter !

I recieved a suprising mail containing some probably trail exam paper of our STPM boys.I have to edit the identity of the candidate and the good school from being drag to a major issue.
It was a while ago I wrote a short sinopsis on the topic.Heres the link

However, let me remind you the answer script does not come from my former alma, but that doesn't means there is none on the discovery channel !!
Be aware of that,Cikgu pleased !!

I am speechless, stunt by the write up answer script.
Yes,it was hilarious.
Probably, the exam was held on the April Fool's Day.
I leave it to the benefit of the doubt.
The exam paper was Sejarah (History).

The Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia(STPM) or HSC/STP during my days was the last bastallion before one enroll to a university or start a working adult life.
The paper consist of 2 paper.
Sejarah 2,that is History of Asia Tenggara ,Jepun and India and History 4 consists of Sejarah Islam dan Sejarah Islam di Malaysia or a student could opt.for Sejarah 3 thats European History.

A student has to pass both paper with a minimum C to obtain a principle pass.

Go ahead have a good laugh.
This is a real answer script from our Sixth Form boys back home down south.
As far as I could recall, getting a place in the Sixth Form in a fully govenment school are based on the over all SPM examination.and a student must perform reasonably well to be selected to be in the Sith Form.

But....how come there's an odd one in the class ?
I find it amusing and thought provoking.
Check,Recheck or rebounce.

Take it as a good rememberence of the yester years I reckon.
Me,I'm no perfect on my examination answer either.

For much better viewing, view with Picasa

Atas Nama

Ada diatas nama Tuhan, melecetkan Tuhan,
Ada yang diatas nama negara ,merampok negara,
Ada yang diatas nama rakyat ,menindas rakyat,
Ada yang atas kemanusiaan, memangsa manusia,
Ada yang diatas nama keadilan meruntuhkan keadilan
Ada yang diatas nama persatuan, merosak persatuan,
Ada yang diatas nama perdamaian, mengusir kedamaian,
Ada yang atas nama kemerdekaan, memasung kemerdekaan

Maka,
atas nama apa saja atau siapa saja

Women of Substance by Barbara Taylor Bradford. It was a while back I read this emotional classic.A poor country girl, unfortunate circumstances fleed to big city London and make it good.
I am not a book reviewer neither my intention to write a sinopsis about the novel or films.Yes,it was also a hit tv series.Worth checking it out.I am sure a few pearl drops would do us good.

My,thought came running on Emma, the main character in the Jane Austen classic,
the 18th.centuary romantic novelist of the 'Pride and Prejudis' and 'Emma'.Those two classic would be a must in-cart for those into the literature.

Co-incidently the name reminds me of my youngest sister Emma in the land of white Dove. She's my most loveable sister of the two other sister of mine.
Her journey to London,England begins way back in 1983 in the pretext of studying.Study she did.I was still at my 2nd.year in the Poly then,we took the flight together on Thai Airways via Bangkok transiting.

Within a nick of a time, believe me we almost missed the flight, while in transitting .

Here's the story.

It was Emma's maiden, flight to anywhere. It was the furthest she's been, from a sleepy hollow Malacca.

At Subang International Airport,I met a dear friend of mine Zaini, she's was based in Bangkok,a stewardess with The Royal Saudi Airline.
She invited us to her apartment in down town Bangkok, knowing we has a few couple of hours before taking the connecting flight to London,Heathrow.

Zaini, gave us a good meal and a proper scrub on my hair by a Malaysian hair sylist in Bangkok.Talking about hair ,you bet mine that scruffy and weird long.Zaini insist that I had my hair cut.I obliged to her request. The visit to the saloon does do me an instant reformation.

Thanks Zai!!!I remember and cherish that!!
She send us back to the airport on time and I still have an hour or so before depart.I check in straight away and linger around at the transit lounge together with Emma.
I was so careless for not being prompt on the time, coz'at that particular era I do not own a watch.Well,it was not hip to wear a wrist watch, such was a hippy altitude then.

I was so into linggering at the transit lounge,I didn't notice or hear, our names was call out on the public announcement. It was merely 5 minutes before the flight take off, then I realised we had missed the flight.
We straight away dash to the entrance gate to catch the flight.
Mind you,the airport in the 80's were still in it manual stage.
One has to embark on the runways,a bus would take us to the desginate plane, but mine,I was so sure the plane to Heathrow was the one I saw at the entrance were already moving.
We make a dash to the runway.Me waving and screaming like a damm fool!!to the flight captain,I could see the captains cockpit from a distance, begging him to stop the plane.

One kind hearted ground staff, managed to radio the captain and after a few interception the moving plane, stilt for us.We board the plane in split second.
When we board the whole passenger in the plane did that stared look on both of us,probably, questioning mentally, how on earth those two 'wogs' managed to board the plane?

It was a smooth ride after the incident but upon safely arrived at Heathrow after the back breaking journey and another incident at the Immigration counter.!!

Indeed,it was the begining of a journey on the road of no return....!!

'The God Father' - Exemption Clause

I pick this bits and pieces quite a while ago, when I first started blogging.

It's 'looks' like a rule, sound like 'the' ruled and 'executed' by the rules.

*****Don Tomasino to Don Carlone :

deep husky voice:'...hey Mike!!! theres to many evil in this world!!'

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

1.I don't use my blog as a space to rant about things I can't handle in real life, or to attack, retaliate or hit out at someone I know personally with whom I can't do so in person.

2.I believe if you can't face up to reality, don't create an alternate reality just so you can be boss in your little corner of cyberspace. What prompted me to write this now? Simply, I witnessed a couple of people who used their blogs as an extension to an argument they had otherwise relinquished in real life. In reality, they said they had spoken their piece and was done with it.

3.In the blogosphere, it seems they aren't actually done with it yet. Too often people use blogs to make themselves out to be the victims in an argument. Last month, there was a similar incident where, again, the person went on her blog and ranted about how she had been wronged.

4.Like I said, if you can't face up to reality, don't use an alternate one to validate youself. It's dangerous to live in an unreal environment and think that the response you get in that space is somehow valid. Your readers and commentors don't know you personally; the only side of you they see is what they read on your blog. Some commentors can be dangerous too. "Oh, don't worry, I've never met you but you feel like an old friend to me, and I know you're not that kind of person."

5.I think ignorant comments like this do not help the delusioned blogger. If you've never met the person, then you've never met that person. Don't think that you know them just by their online persona, because nine out of ten times, people's online personae are the complete opposite of who they really are.

6.It's also dangerous because things become one-sided and no one really knows the truth except to rely on the blogger's version of it. And what's worse is when some bloggers decide to name the people they're ranting against. Then you're involving a person's reputation and if your story is half-true or fictitious (as most of these rants are anyway), you could be held accountable for defamation.

7.My rule in blogging is simple. If I can't handle it in real life, then I don't blog about it. What's the point? What good would it really do? Isn't it akin to talking to myself? If I have a problem with someone, I duke it out person to person, face to face. I admit, I've tried out a bitching space before, but I got tired of it because my problems didn't really go away, and nothing felt like it had any closure.

8.And then there are those who confuse being outspoken with being rude and obnoxious. Hell no, they're not one and the same.

9.Bitching is not being outspoken. It's just angry, pointless and unconstructive ranting. Unless, of course, it's not personal and/or to parody an issue or something.

Hail to Bloggers!!!

Pang Chin Hock v PP - An Appeal to Federal Court.

PHANG CHIN HOCK V. PUBLIC PROSECUTOR

FEDERAL COURT [KUALA LUMPUR]
SUFFIAN LP, J, WAN SULEIMAN, FJ, SYED OTHMAN, FJ
[CRIMINAL APPEAL NO. 27 OF 1977]
21 AUGUST 1979
Order accordingly.

JUDGMENT

Suffian LP (delivering the judgment of the Court):

In this security case tried in accordance with the Essential (Security Cases) Regulations, 1975, ("the regulations"), the appellant was convicted of the offence of unlawful possession of six rounds of ammunition contrary to s. 57(1)(b) of the Internal Security Act, 1960, and sentenced to death.

We dismissed the appeal and now give our reasons.

First, it was said in effect that the conviction was against the weight of evidence. We were of the opinion that there was ample evidence to justify the conviction and that the learned trial Judge was right in concluding on the evidence that the defence had not thrown any doubt on the case for the prosecution.

Secondly, arguments were raised based on the Constitution. Three points were made.

It was said first that in view of Art. 4(1) of the Constitution which reads:

4. (1) This Constitution is the supreme law of the Federation and any law passed after Merdeka Day which is inconsistent with this Constitution shall, to the extent of the inconsistency, be void." and of the definition of "law" and "federal law" in Art. 160(1) which includes "any Act of Parliament" any Act of Parliament which amends the Constitution, as is allowed by Art. 159, is valid only if consistent with the Constitution, and that any provision in it, which is so inconsistent, is, to the extent of the inconsistency, void.

Secondly and alternatively, it was said that even if amendments made by Parliament in accordance with Art. 159 may be inconsistent with existing provisions of the Constitution, nevertheless the Court should read into the Constitution implied limitations on power of Parliament to destroy the "basic structure" of the Constitution, which, it was submitted, includes the following features:

(a) supremacy of the Constitution;

(b) constitutional monarchy;

(c) that the religion of the Federation shall be Islam and that other religions may be practised in harmony;

(d) separation of the powers of the three branches of Government; and

(e) the federal character of the Constitution.

This list may be compared with the features of the basic structure of the Indian Constitution given at p. 165 by Sikri CJ in
Kesavananda Bharati v. State of Kerala
[1973] SCR Supp. 1 AIR [1973] SC 1461 as follows:

(a) Supremacy of the Constitution;

(b) Republican and Democratic form of Government;

(c) Secular character of the Constitution;

(d) Separation of powers between Legislature, Executive and Judiciary; and

(e) Federal character of the Constitution.

Thirdly, even if the Emergency (Essential Powers) Act, 1979 ("Act 216") is valid, ss. 2(4), 9(3) and 12 thereof are void as they destroy the basic structure of the Constitution.

Thus there are three issues here.

First, do Parliament have power to make constitutional amendments that are inconsistent with the Constitution?

Secondly, if Parliament have power to make constitutional amendments that are inconsistent with the Constitution, do they have power to make amendments that destroy the basic structure of the Constitution?

Thirdly, have ss. 2(4), 9(3) and 12 of Act 216 destroyed the basic structure of the Constitution and are they therefore void?

To summarise, our answers to the three issues raised are:

1. Parliament have power to make constitutional amendments that are inconsistent with the Constitution.

2. Parliament may amend the Constitution in any way they think fit, provided they comply with all the conditions precedent and subsequent regarding manner and form prescribed by the Constitution itself and it is unnecessary for us to say whether or not Parliament's power of constitutional amendment extends to destroying the basic structure of the Constitution.

3. Act 216 is constitutional. Whatever may be the features of the basic structure of the Constitution, none of the constitutional amendments complained of and none of the impugned provisions of Act 216 have destroyed the basic structure of the Constitution.

Order accordingly.

Persoalan Utama penhujahan YAA-YAA,

We Are Trully Malaysian here and Forever.

hmmmmmm.........I pick it up from here.

1. We are a unique nation filled with beautiful and caring people.

2. We loved and respected our past and present leaders then.

3. We were proud of our football, hockey and badminton teams who brought us joy, pride and a Malaysia Bersatu!

4. We waved excitedly and proudly when our Sultans and Agung drove past on the roads.

5. We sang Negara Ku with pride and gusto at Stadiums more so when the team was winnning but 10 decibels louder when our Agong came in the rain and sat at Stadium Merdeka to cheer with the rakyat.

6. We obeyed the law, respected the Police and was fiercely patriotic especially against our brothers in Singapore!

7. Our children schooled together, games together, ate together and kept friendship bonds thru many school reunions , hari raya's, Chinese new year, deepavali and Xmas... yummy food..

8.We knew our friends mothers, family and ran away when we saw their fathers come home...

9. We had a Malaysia Bersatu, where is it now...?

10. we all know the answer, corruption, racial emotions, party politics, bad governance from all leaders and authorities, a lack of concern for the man on the street despite all the drama and hype on TV and papers but yet NO actual genuine concern. They called it photo opportunity or party gimmick to please the crowd.

11. Wahai leaders, are you listening? Pray tell me then, do you knnow the price of a kilo of rice, of red chili, of ikan kembong or jenahak? When was the last time dear YAB/TB did you drive personally to fill up petrol or buy gardenia bread froma 7-11?

12. Go back to rukun negara, barisan kita and you will find Malaysia Kita again.

Kasi Hantam Sajalah.....!

hmmmm..........kamik nak gi kemeh!!!!!!

I took a walk to the Ibu Thein Memorial Muzeum while I was in Jakarta 2 weeks ago.
To those whom does not know who Ibu Thein is,well....she's meet her lord.
She was the Indonesian first lady. The well fed first lady.

Stepping into the gallery,a gallery full with presents, presented to her while she was the first lady.
My oh my......the collection whooophs..wow..amazing collection!!
There is this one massive big huge tree I reckon its Meranti, chengal,Jati a size of a badminton court,a height a guess of at least 50 feet or more being on display.
The very least the age of the tree is 200 years old.
The amazing thing is the tree was dug so deep and it roots are still hanging and left dry for the artistic effect.

The tree branches are left to natural dried.
The miracle of the tree is, someone or rather a group of master craftmen were commission to crave the epic of Ramayana and Mahabrata on the tree trunk.
Yes....full story epic of the Hindu epic story on a tree trunk varnish to absolute perfect craft and presented to the late Ibu Thein as a present for X'mas.

Wow....stepping out of the gallary, reminds me of my beloved ibu's firm advised on my first day at school in 1966.

Wir..,"didunia ini tidak ada tempat untuk orang yang tidak bersekolah".

The master craft who crafted that piece of epic, did really goes to school,
and school he does and no 'University' in this world would dare to challenge his ability of his skills, patience, preserverence, determination on his mastercraftmenship.

But what wonder me most is why cut down a tree to give the first lady a X'mas present????

Was it an ego trip?
The taker would gladly accepts it!
It would be not polite not to accept a present given but I am sure the tree hurts when his trunk was curved for public exhibit.

Might be the tree soul would cried out loud,

'.......look at me,I'm no fool no more than you do?

Possibility to put up a mamak rojak stall beneath the tree with lot's of sotong and cendul pulut, eeek.......!!!
Will be queing together with Ipoh's amoi.
Ayo...ma!! Ipoh mali,ma!! manyak cantik lol!!

That's rakyat's staple diet we are talking about, man!!!!!!!.

I say...Free Birdddddddd.....What say you!!

Old Vintage Wine -Tribute to all RTM's Vets

This post was first publish in Febuary 2006.
A Tribute to all RTM'S vet.

Thank you for the bringing my live more meaningful and all the lessons via your mono radio.

Up-Date:

Agak tidak keperhatian sekiranya nama-nama DJ-DJ diRTM Radio 1 dizaman-zaman 60'an dan 70'an tidak disebut akan kelicikkan mereka menjalankan tugas serta menceriakan lagi kehidupan kita.
Nama-nama Ibu Siti Hawa Zain, program diwaktu pagi bagaikan bergema kembali didengung teliga setiap pagi sekitar 6 pagi, mengejutkan kami untuk ke sekolah.Nasihatnya amat mendalam.Motivasi untuk kami,anak-anak rakyat mengejar, melayar sebuah impian.
Harus diingat Malaysia ketika itu masih ditahap pembikinan.
Harga Pasaran getah keping asap berbunga menjunam keparas 20sen sekati.

4.Mak Chik Wan Chik Daud,Mahani Ujang.Putaran lagunya dizaman-zamam tersebut penoh nostalgic.

5.Dan ramai lagi,Pak Chik Helan Abu,Di zaman-zaman akhir 70'an dengan bermulanya FM stereo didalam tahun 1978,DJ-DJ baru ujud.Srd.Noramin,Halim Din,Sazali,Omar Manan,Zainal Din Zainal,Mak Chik Prema dengan rancangan Belajar Bahasa Tamil di RMIK merupakan pengerak minda.

Terima Kasih di atas curahan hati.Memori mengamit diri.

Jasa-jasa mu dikenang.Bak kata pujangga kita P.Ramlee 'Tak mugkin dapat dipisahkan antara irama dan lagu'

Hmmm........yes sir,
he sure does, together with his generation he does move us in the right direction. He was one of the early birds in Radio broadcasting during the Beatles hip era via his husky golden voice he taught us those 'solok' guys the proper English, right pronuncation, proper intonation plus the music of Nat King Cole to Bee Gees 'Staying Alive'.He done us proud I am sure his other half and children is dammed proud of his modest achievement.

Very well indeed,I patiencely waits for his weekly radio show every Sunday precisely at 10am for 2 hours. That old faithful A4 battery operated 'Singer' we had at home is mine for that particular hour.Me at that particular hour will be cleaning my white canvass 'Bata' shoes, yeap school the next day,has to be neat and tidy for Monday assembly or else, I get the best 2 or if it's my unlucky day it will be the best 4 from Mr.Kumara Dass at the Cadet Room.
Pick and choose the ammo,he surely do have an ample collection of yessss....'CANES ' I mean,yeap...the one which whack our backside when we had a discipline problems,it landed on me a few times.
Sure do learn my lesson well.

He taught us English via his chats in the radio.
New words and proper grammer usage.I pick it from him.
Listening tentatively to his husky voice every Sunday, the'Kee Huat Radio Show' he was the show host and it did survived a couple of seasons till I am able to write a love letter.

Yes, I learn to write my ever first love letter by listening to his show.
It was the S.W.A.K and the Jeremy era.The sweet face of the main child actor whom ran off with his girlfriend to Venice......alah I forgotten his name.I think it was Mark ...something!It was before Linda Blair and her Excoist mania.
That film really inspire Bollywood to produce another block buster movie of that era"Bobby". Not to mention Hawaii 5-o with that handsome looking Steve Megarrat and his assistent Danny or weekly sit-com 'The Brady Bunch' and that handsome David Cassidy on 'The Partridge Family'.

Me,a 'solok ' guy watching that show? Yes indeed.....!!!
Will be arguing with my sibs if the wrestling programme is on.I know that is not my t.v day then. One t.v for a couple of family to share.
That was how is was then!
Am I bragging about the post independence socio climate?
No not at all,but by back tracking, that is how we learned to sort our present. Anybody who doesn't? so be it!

Why did I write this yeh?
I am not too sure in pronouncing either 'TOKOK or Tokoh'?
That what his blogspot name is!!
Yes he is a Mister to me,
He is no other less our former RTM Blue Network DJ Sir Patrick Teoh.

To me Tokok means rambling, but, you sir... might have thought of probably the manglish meaning ie.'talk-cork' ie. idle conversation.
Tokoh is personality which definately, you has that.
You....a 'Tokoh' to me and a few others of my batch sir...... I can be sure of that!
You sir,you has that charm, inspiring our generation with those soft melody,
yeah... the clean cut sound, no distortion compared to todays MIDI gadget which most of todays musician used. With the aid of 'Cake Walk' a dump fool could sell his CD's at any back lane an claim it original....'inhouse made' lah brother!!!I am talking where music is played in a group.A joint effort of a team producing quality sound.Quality showmanship and quality master piece. There is a diffrence between 'evergreen and classic'.Stairsway to Heaven is classic but Green Grass of Home is evergreen. So do Carmilla by Ebiet that is classic and may more.
I know ...is not rock and roll but something of Lobo or Neil Diamond or Carpenters is 'ok' to our big brother.
Yes, I know our Big Bro is a bit of pain in the ass at times.
Back then, yes I know big bro is watching us.
I remember our big bro has a rubber stamp on Rod Steward 'Maggie Mae' or Stairsways To Heaven' Definate no play air time.
I dont understand why they censor 'The Revolvers'.They were great, instead every sunday we has to listen to the tune Beautiful Sunday,I forgoten the group name.
I am sure if our Big Bro then gave a lee way to our local group air time,I am positively a sure our Artist performersare as good as our regional counter part if not better. They even gave 'Heavy Machine' a hard time.To jazz freak like me 'NO' so call music of jazz in the air time.
Instead we listen to 'Seriosa' a version of todays Pavarroti?in TV2.

We are the by product of what we see, feel, listen and THINK!
No wonder it take ages for us to pick up the pieces?
Well......that was the rules back then.
Your comand of elementary English without any accent, straight and grammatically correct improved our written weekly composition tremendeosly.

During my High School tenure together with Nuruddin, we would sneak to a corner of the hostel block to listen to your programme tentatively.
Believe me sir,Nuruddin is another 'Solok' guy, his solok is much further then my 'solok',he is from Bukit Senggeh somewhere near Selandar our minister of 'Human Resources' constituency.
Belief me this guy he specks the 'Nogori English',but man...his written English is explict, belief me..... he got an A1 for English 121 of MCE 1976.
How do we 'The Solok Guys' pick up the language?
Simple answer...
......by tuning to your radio programme.
Its amazing the radio!! it teaches us to be an avid listerner not a watcher as tv does or what ever gadget we have now.
From the portable battery operated size A4 we diguest your word.
Yes sir the 'Solok Guys' made it,by learning how to learn.

Together with your generation of broadcaster namely Pak Chik Sulaiman Alias,Pak Chik Yahaya Long Chik,Kakak Rubiah Lubis,Abang Nornikman Dadameah,Pak Chik Helan Abu and of course our mum Auntie Faridah Merican,Auntie Constant Haslam,we learn the correct basis English, useage, pronunciation, expression using the correct process of 'Learning how to Learn' method that is 'Shut Up and Listen'

That is how we were taught.
We learn by listening and able listener, we are sir!
Thanks to your team back in the late 60's and early 70's era sir.
I commend you the very least an AMN to our YDPA,sir.
May god protects you and your family and those who does great contribution to the nation,be it DJ's,script writers, programme producers, audio technician, buffer,LP's runner at the Wisma Angkasapuri etc, etc.
Your positive contribution being part of nation building goes notice sir.

Bravo to all the RTM'S unsung heroes.

Moga Allah Memberkati Pertalian Kasih Mu

My dear Aida & Aidil,

Apa tanda hari nak petang,
Anak merbah terciap-ciap,
Apa tanda cinta nak datang,
Darah didada girap-gemirap.

Sembah takzim pembuka diri,
Tegahnya adat tamaddun berzaman,
Selamat menjalani Putri sehari,
Moga Allah berkati sepanjang perjalanan.

Ikan keli masak lemak,
Ikan sembilang digoreng lada,
Pesan emak kepada anak,
kalau tidur mesti waspada.

Pukul satu makan,
Pukul dua tidur,
Kalau dua-dua dah berkenaan,
Tak siapa pun boleh masok campur

Malam-malam dengar suling,
Suling merdu dari bambu,
Kalau nak kena pusing-pusing
Bila pusing makin jambu

Lagu reggea memang sedap,
Sedap lagi Melayu Asli,
Kalau ada yang menggendap,
Katakan saja 'For Private Viewing Only'.

Selamat Menjalani Kehidupan Yang Sebenar.

'Man is the General, Women is the Major,
Hubby make General decision and Wife makes The Major Decision'

Tahniah.

Mohd Aidil dan Cpt.(Dr)Nur Aida

Al-Fatiha Papa Pok Teh Mohd Idris Hj.Abdullah

A man with highest man of principle, absolute trustworthly gentleman and firm in executing duties.

That is Pok Teh,ibu's younger brother, passed away at a ripe age of 70,on Monday 2th.Febuary 2009 at 12.30noon.
Papa has been staying with ibu since apak pass away 5 years ago.
Extreamly fond of all his sisters,Mak Nyah,Ibu and ibu Chik.
Remain a bachelor till death. As faith has taken it toll, his sudden death was a surprise to all of us in the family.

It was a long week-end hols due to Hari Wilayah Persekutuan. Most of my aunt and uncle came back to Malacca. All have a weekend home in Melaka, thus, that very Monday all of us was having breakfast together at a local stall and depart back to KL after breakfast.
He was his usual self, nothing strange shown.
Always with his cup of Milo and Roti Canai and his medication prescripe after breakfast.
However,he decided to finish a full plate of Kueh Teiow Gorang that wonderful morning together with Ibu Chik,Bak,Emi and family.plus Ibu.
It was a long depart breakfast table and his last.

We depart for KL,arriving Bangi, ibu call informing of the death.
Innalillahhirajiuun.
Turn back for Melaka right away.

Papa Pok Teh,was with the Singapore Police Force in late 50's.
A rank and file officer. The youngest Sargeant ever been promoted to the post and later absorbed to the Inspector and upon medical board retirement recommendation he was an ASP with the Singapore Police Force.
Retired on medical board recommendation in 1970.
I was disciplined brought up by him at home.
A stern teacher.
An English master, which of course shows his mark in his writing.
Love his nephews and neices like his own children.

Papa's credential indeed a colorful one.
It was from him I tasted my first rotan.
My very first lesson of the Penal Code and question of law.
He would narrate to me the Penal Code and the Criminal Procedure Code in a very precision and detail.
I was merely in my secoundary school days back in the 70's listening his oral narration of Singapore Internal Affairs.
The bricking between Malaysia and Singapore.
The sweeping of Singapore kongsi Gelap in the 60's.
The political espoinage.
Off course he was a S.B with the Singapore Police and answerable only to'THE BOSS'.

The story of General Albar,T.S Pak Samad,Ahmad Bostaman,Azahari etc.etc.
It was told on first account to me.
Knowing Papa Pok Teh,his seriousness and no nonsense approach I am assure the stories relate to me were real and indeed a first hand historical dvelopment of post Malaya political history.
Time given,Insyallah,I will document it in Memoir Note of the 'Unsung Hero Tales from the South'

He was a Law lecturer at the Singapore Police Training School.
He was so good at law and was recommanded by the Attoney General at the time, the late Almarhum Tan Sri Ahmad Ibrahim to be a lecture on Criminal Law at the University Malaya in Singapore but was turn down by the Dean of the Faculty because Papa Pok Teh do not have a law degree.

For being a P.O for the crown, his examplary service was noted by then the High Court Judge an later the Chief Justice for Singapore Rt.Hon.Wee Chong Jin with a gold coin which he proudly shows me when I was still a wee lad.

Running after gangsters in Singapore then was a real high profile drama.
The street cleaning of Singapore against graft is well noted in the 60's.
The gruelsome murder photos was shown to me when I was a wee lad and it was real dramatic murders.
As a college of his I meet in Mekah while performing my haj told me,

His articulate legal writing still stands today.
His neatness in dressing up, represent of the old school of 'The Officer and a Gentleman'.Not even a foul word would come from him even when he is extreamly angry.

They never groom those types of ole'good esquire any more.

Political Satire.

Karpal is a cow milk seller(susu lembu).. Anwar promised to extend his business, by playing with Karpal cows and Karpal's competitor's cow. Now, Anwar couldn't bring any more cows, and 1 of Karpal's cow ran away because it didn't like being fucked from behind by Anwar.. so, the cowman got angry, and asked the backsideman to buzz off.

Then, Anwar went to the mamak cendol(KJ) and complain. The mamak cendol actually sent Anwar to the cowman because he wanted uninterrupted supply of milk(power) for his cendol business.

The cendolman then employed his thugs(pemuda UMNO) to call for the end of Karpal business(UMNO Youth calls for the end of Karpal's citizenship).. so, we will all see what happens next.

As for the Susu Lembu seller and the Kings dispute, that one from the old times... old story, it has nothing to do with the backside man and the Mamak Cendol.

Quite..... Pleased you are in a Library !!

Since my wee lad years, quite often I used The Dewan Hang Tuah public library in my home town.I remember having to fork out $6.00 fine for late return of a book I borrowed. It was adventure of Sinbad,if I'm not mistaken.

It was a big sum for a 13 years old lad. Some how I managed.
The Dewan Hang Tuah state library employed 2 full time librarian.
I couldn't recall their name, but one a Chinese serve as the librarian and coordinates the in and out activities of patrons and an Indian man acts as a clerk.

One must be aware it was an era where Charted Librarianship Programme was unheard of in my little sleepy hollow town,Malacca.
Library service was done manually, micro chips was much later introduced in the library around 1975.
Most search was done via cataloge card stock at one corner of the library.

Tempang, the Chinaman,as he was known to us was the librarian whom not only enforces the law to patron to keep quite but he ensure no nonsense in his library, such as eating chewing gum, which we would cheekly stick it underneath the reading table out of mischievous act.Anybody caught, redhanded a sistem of fine of 10 cents and subsequently 3 times panelty will be remove from librarian membership.
Such was the dracanion law introduce wee back then.

Netherless,we digest,we quest and meet new social friends of our age group.
And later,we march to Cafe 101 or Snowwhite for a cokefloat,if only the federal minor scholarship was credited in time.
It was a era of no browsing the google and whack-tech gizmo.

Library etiquette was instill in us, since we were lad.
As far as I could remember,no torn pages on most books I borrowed from the library. Some of it is really out of date and published circa 1940.
Netherless we enjoyed the book or rather the trip of the library becaused I am certain 99.9% of homes then, do not have a library at home.
One would be lucky to find daily newspaper, either Utusan,Berita or if its a English specking home there would be NST.At home it was Utusan Melayu in JAWI which arwah Tok Wak bought daily and the only source of news back then.
Nevetheless,I diguest the news in Jawi.

I left home town, quest for adventure.
During my student days in London, the library vist and usage is a must and frequent.
It was at the polytech library which open my neive eyes the quest of KNOWLEDGE grew.
The condusive enviroment, the new ways of library research plus the content in the library facinates me.
I would escape the cold and hide myself at one corner, not nessary studying but jes to brows the Guardian,Daily Telegraf,The Times or even the New York Post to escape the cold.

Library research was still at it infancy.Still uses the micro-negetive slide.Cataloging was still in card-boxes but....
The library ethiques are maintain.Thats is,Quite Pleased'!

The Maryleborne Library along the Maryleborne Rd., where Karl Marx wrote his bible the 'DAS KAPITAL'
was my hide away when serious studying needed, particularly during exam fever.
The chairs and tables where Karl Marx sat were mark and noted by the Library administrative and I am sure it is still there.
The Maryleborne Library is where I borrowed most of the old Blues collection,ie.the rare copies of Muddy Waters,TJ Hooker,Slim Walter, etc LP's and retape it for my personnel collection which I still have it till this day and were stack away in my attic.
Its capacity daily are mostly 3/4 full, but one couldn't hear a word of wishper if one in there. In other words is Silence Pleased, You are In the Library

I venture out at the spacious and classic library of University of London at Goutch Street off Totteham Court Rd.
Its tables arrangement with a study light on each table, facinates me and it is cozy.It was here I wanted so much to brows our Salutus Saltin by Hamzah Fansuri.
I couldn't find it but the trip was memoriable one cause it expands my horizan of what a University library should be like.
It was still the no goggle search era but the library ethic shows what scholar are made of.'
They are made of Libraries where they frequent.

Many more libraries I venture to,University of Bologne,Italy,University of Soubourn in Paris,University of Leiden,Holland etc etc.
Entering any one of it one of them, one would feel the scholalistic air a breath.
The etiquette maintain 'QUITE PLEASED YOUR ARE IN A LIBRARY'

I am a frequent user of both our national university library.
Both are law libraries.A faculty of Law name after him and the other a library.
Both libraries derives from a same source ,highly scholar and both libraries are name after him for his contribution in society and the development of Malaysian Legal System particularlly the development of Shariah laws.
The name of the late Tan Sri Ahmad Ibrahim stands tall in the league of nations.

For years I have observed law student of the university concerned.
Lame atitude towards library usage.
Or was is the table arrangement of 4 chairs in one table ,I'm not too sure.which caused the problem. When 4 young sod meets what other topic of the day would they discuss.I'm not too sure.

I am not disputing those children are bright enough to be in a Law library but I notice and at time it gets to my nerve the amount of chatting and distraction in the LAW library.
Yes,they are bright enough to study law,(I assume they are law students)but scholistic approach needed to be introduce to those kids.
Rules are to be observe, etiquette are to be uphold while in a library as so that one could feel one are in a scholistic institution.

Unrelated discussion could be done outside the corum.
Case book are not to be torn.
Library nuisence must be stop.
After all they are our future guidence of the law.
They are supposed to guide us.
If small trivial matter could not be implant in their thick skull, thus the public money spend is a waste.
Altitude in the Library must be observe and uphold.

Need it be, the Librarian must be like my childhood librarian,Si Tempang,
when he a approches to our table, limping,it means, someone is in trouble.........!!!!

How You Groom Your Children Is Your Choise!! BUT....

I couldn't resist but to continued to blog of what I feel in my heart.

Recently, one of my nephew did very well indeed along with other 100,000(I think) our Malaysian children whom score straight 'A' in their UPSR exam.
He was selected to one of the most prestige elite grooming school in my home town Malacca.
There was other 2 nephews and a niece whom graduated from the College when the college just open its doors to Malaysian children back in early 90's

All three have already graduate and work and the niece is already a Cpt.(Dr)with our ATM Medical Corp.
Thanks to the philotropist and his team whom started the college and for giving all able young sod a FREE good education while they was there.
All three jes recently embark into a career path.

May Allah protects all of you three,Aki,Aida and Reza.hmmmmm......terus.

The college aim is to produce a well rounded future Malaysian corporate figure.
Wallah yaalam.(go ahead and for haven sake boys!!! go with God)

But.....today I recieve a news, another nephew got a place.
Great ....but the fees for Form 1 registration is a galloping amount of $21,000.00, bill to his parents.
What!!!!!!!!holly cow!!!!!son of the gun!!!!

Well,I thought Sek.Alam Shah,Sri Putri at PutraJaya and many more public funded full boarding school is also able to produce talented Malaysian too.And its is FREE!!!

If you have $21,000,from my six sense,it is wiser to sponsor 5 ophan of your son age(yatim piatu)school them, feed them and teach them.
I am sure Sekolah Alam Shah and others do have bright ophan children whom we could look after.Sponsor them all till they complete their education.
I'm sure they will be gratefull and thankful for your contribution.

Learn !! from him

Your son and daughters will have a pure and genuine net working when he/she embark on future plans.Insyallah.
Dont be self centred and selfish invidual but be truthful.
It is danger to play with image and image maker.
If you have do it,do solely for God sake and not for an 'ego ride'.

All the other 3 was given a scholarship but sad to say the icon couldn't managed to sponsor anymore bright Malaysian or was it too big of an ambition plan when he built the college?
Well, that's life what come around, turns around.

I puzzle at the whopping amount.
I ask myself do we need to pay such a big amount?
Not until I brows at Sir Ken Robinson

My thought still remain puzzle and so many unanswered question came running in my mind after listening to his talk.
What a whoppper!!
The truth is,I dont like all elitist colleges philosophical approached toward streaming lining and compartmentalization of society via education.

Have a deep thought on what you about to listen by Sir Ken Robinson.
The world is about to change.

By the way, my beloved Nana and Alia got a straight 8 'A's' during last PMR exam.
Way to go my gals.......terus.
Both of them was at home and at normal co-ed day school.

Thus,I reckons grades doesn't come with school tags or does it?
